Pretty CAS

We went on a splendid weekend getaway and arrived home this monday. We have been planning it for quite some time and the point was to let Signe decide everything we did since we are not sure we will get a chance of going somewhere special this summer. It won´t be a week in Turkey (which we´d all love to do! ;)) for sure since little sister arrives in mid july. So we packed some small suitcases and travelled to Gothenborg which is Swedens second largest city. She wanted to pay Liseberg a visit, it´s a huge very child friendly amusementpark and we also had a marvelleous day at the beach! The weather has been so amazing here last week, unfourtunately it´s supposed to rain all of this week :(
Signe really LOVES to go to the beach, or now that I think of it, she really loves a bath - anywhere ;) I have recently descovered an app for my phone called instagram and I must say, I´m so into taking pics again now. I especially love the two I have used on this lo I made when we came back on monday. Signe is truly enjoying the sand and beach and they are both shot´s of beautiful moments.
I feel the result is quite CAS and it only took me 35 min to put togheter. That´s surely a diffrence from my cards where I can sit on and off for three days sometimes ;)

It says Our bathgirl. The patterned paper (only one?!!) is from Magnolia. Both alphabeths are from Thickers. Metal butterfly and key from Pink paislee. Flowers from WOC and Prima (of course ;))

Hope your weekend was as great as mine! Did you know Sweden won the Eurovision song contest this year? We were represented by beautiful Loreen and I can´t help but share her song:

Yeah, we won! I´m hoping my city, Malmoe will get to be the arranging city next year :)

Thank you so much for looking in!
Big hugs xXx

MDUC: Make your own embellishment

Hi everyone!

A new challenge is going live tonight over at Magnolia down under and I must admit I thought it was going to be somewhat of a toughie ;) Let me tell you all about it: we want you to really get your creative juices flowing and make an embellishment of your own and add it to your creation. If you pop on over to the challenge blog we have listed some nice options if you like me struggle a tad bit ;) That´s also where you NEED to go to see the stunning creations my teamies has made for this week! Don´t miss out!

However! This challenge was just what I needed :) I can use some help every now and then to think outside the box. One of the things you can chose to make is a handmade flower of some sort. Since we are soon expecting another little family member I have been going through all of the stuff we have left since Signe was a baby. I´m separating the still wants from the to throw aways and am doing loads of laundry. One of the things that ended up in the throw away pile was a bed sheet that I have no idea as to why we kept because it was filled with stains and spots that can´t be washed off. Between it landing in the throw away pile and it leaving my picky hands I got an idea as to what I wanted to make! I saved a piece of the fabric and used some medium on it that is used for strenghtening shirt collars to try to gain some stability. It worked great so I simply used my scissors and cut out a bigger shape that I liked. To finish off my flower I used a punch from Nellie Snellen that makes etches in paper to try it on my flower of fabric. Worked like a charm! So now that I knew it was doable I chose a piece of the bedlinen that was colored in both pink and yellow and redid it all again. So that flower was the start of my whole card this week, at least the colorscheme I chose to work with. Intressting way to start off!

Besides this flower I have used a charm, pearls, shabby chic frame from MF, sentimentstamp, scene stamp and Tilda stamp that I bought at the Magnolia store in Borås. The sentiment is stamped with di color Vintage photo onto Wellum (a lovely idea I once saw on a card that my cute friend Lillemor from Lillemors Magnolior had done on her creation) The rest of the flowers are from WOC and as always my stamps are colored with di´s on 300 g watercolorpaper. The card is folded into what my teamie at MDUC, dear Denise calls an easel step card. At least thats where I saw it first. Love those! All edges are sewn and has been smuttred with di crackle paint picket fence :)

Today has been a busy, busy day ;) Our little daughter turns five on tuesday and she has celebrated today togheter with her cute, cute friends! This year we were not at home, we decided to leave it up to someone else to plan and organise everything and Signe wanted the peeps at Leos indoorplayland to arrange it all. So that was the way the cookie crumbled. She chose the jungle room where the lighting was a bit off but I just have to show you this cute picture of our little birthday girl! I feel rediciously proud of the little girl she´s growing into. She is sooo good!

Thank you all so much for checking in with me!
Big hugs!

Ahoy Tilda!

I had another play with my new Magnolia stamps this morning. This time it´s Ahoy Tilda´s turn to see some ink. I think she is really cute! And well, what do you know? Can you see any pink on this creation?? :o I don´t think so! I went totally outside my comfort zone on this one and I´m not totally happy about the end result but I think that can happen when you take "risks" like these ;) God knows, I felt like adding some pink somewhere on there! ;)

For that nautical feeling I chose to work with some dp´s from Maja Design that came out last summer. The big beautiful white flowers is a gift from my amazing friend, Jane. Thank you hunni! While on the gift subject the lush nautical blue ribbon is a gift from another cute friend, Alberto. Thank you Alby, lurv it!
The anker charm was purchased at the Maggie store in Borås as is the lovely lace. As promised yesterday I decided to use cheesecloth on this card as well ;) The blue roses are all WOC. Tilda is inked with di´s as usual.

I´d like to enter my card in the current sketch challenge over at one of my fav blogs, CLP challenges. The sketch for May is amazing and looks like this:

Have to go now, I have been adviced by my doctor to take some slow and short walks during these last few weeks that is left of my pregnancy. I was asked yesterday how long that is and as if today I have ten weeks left! OMG, I can´t wait to hold that little baby in my arms. Okay, I´m off!
Big hugs

Thank you so much for visiting me!

Whimsical Tilda

Welcome everybody!

I want to start todays posting with a HUGE thank you from the bottom of my heart to everybody that still comes in here to take a lookie look everynow and then. :) Of course a special thanks goes to my wonderful friends that still bears with me and leaves some love before you head off. It really does mean the world to me, I´m so grateful you haven´t forgotten all about me while I have been dealing with renovations and preparations due to the new little baby.
I think I´m finally getting a hold of things again and might I say I´m so happy that I´m visiting you lovelies on a more regular schedule too ;) To look at your stunning creations is what has made me finally not give up on my crafting.

Well, enough of me rambling on..and on to todays card. I have inked up another one of the Tildas from Magnolias collection "Summer memories". Dear God, I have been selling a lot of my old Magnolias because I simply can´t store them and then I have simply fell in love with so many of the once from the recent collections I bought so many I can´t even see that I have sold some ;) He,he,he!
She is inked with di´s as usual on 300 g watercolorpaper. She has been given a splash of Stickles Star dust on various places and of course some cute little earrings. ;) The papers are from an old Pion design collection called "Minnenas Ateljé". Love those! It´s not often I dress miss Tilda up in lilacs but I had to try it this time. And those of you whom knows me well can see I also had to add my fav color which is piiiiinnnnkkk! For the first time ever I have finally gotten around to try some of that cheese cloth thingy all of you are already using and I fell hard in love. Prepare to get tired of seeing that here ;) All flowers are WOC and the alphabeth stickers are both Basic Grey and Making memories (Making memories is in the frame) Frame from Melissa Frances and the lovely bow and lace both comes from the Maggie store in Borås. Pearls are bought at my local scrap store.

I´d like to join the following lovely challenges with my card:

Magnolia stamp lovers: where one of my sweet former teamies, Lim (on DOC) asks us to ink a Tilda or Edwin with flowers in the hands.

Just Magnolia: Anything goes with the options of pearls and swearls.

Midweek Magnolias: Add flowers to your creation

So what do you think? Isn´t she adorable?
Thank´s for taking the time to check up on me!
See you at your blogs! Hugs xXx

MDUC More than one fold: Card for my mother on Mothers Day ♥

Today it´s time for another challenge over at MDUC :) Yay!
This time we would have loved to see you create something that includes MORE THAN ONE FOLD. So basicly something other that just the "usual" 6*6 inch cards. I´m looking to get inspired by a lot of diffrent folds this upcoming week especially since I feel a bit stuck. I usually end up choosing a easel, twisted easel, criss cross or just the plain ones. ;)

For instance for this one I made a twisted easelcard ;)
I used one of the new images from the just now released stamp collection from Magnolia called "Summer Memories". I think she is so cool walking along looking like a real lady in those platform shoes! And the dog is so cute tagging along with that swag going on ;)
The papers are from a paper pad called Lost and found - Marker street from My minds eye that I found on sale!! at a scrapfair I visited late march outside of Helsingborg.
Once again I have used a PATP set from Martha Stewart for the edges. All flowers are from WOC. The corner die is from QK. All sentiments are also from Magnolia. The circular one I stamped on the bottom part says: The worlds best mummy. Thought that would suit very well since this ended up being this years Mothers day card from me. The stamp in the backround "Boutique" is also from Magnolia. All edges has been sewn as usual and I have added lot´s of pearls from Panduro Hobby. The ribbon is bought at the Magnolia store in Borås. All images is coloured with di´s on 300 g watercolorpaper. If I missed anything please don´t hesitate to send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Before I go I want to encourage you not to miss out on joining in this week! Head on over to the MDUC challenge blog to take a look at the marvelleous creations my teamies made this week :)
I also want to join in on some other challenges with this card, here they are:

The sketchy challenges want´s us to create something using their amazing sketch:

Sketchy colors want´s us to create using the colors mint, pink and white. It also says you can add another color of your choice but it may not be dominant. I´ll let them decide if they think I used to much brown on mine ;) Close call I think myself ;)

Before I head off to bed I just have to share this picture of my very soon to be five year old daghter - she looks so cool doesn´t she? A bit like Tilda on the town ha? ;)

Thank you so much for looking!
Hugs xXx
