Deep Ocean Challenge: Sporty/Outdoors

WHOOOOT WHOOOOT!

Im so happy today as I have been asked back to join the Deep Ocean challenge gang of ubertalanted
dt´s. :) As some of you might remember I decided to take a break last autumn because I had gotten pregnant and was not feeling to good...Well, the break extended to almost a year as I didnt dare ask Alby if he still wanted me after I started feeling better. ;) I was so delighted when he asked me a couple of weeks ago!

The first challenge that Im joining in on has a lovely theme, OUTDOORS / SPORT. When I got the message I was so happy and immediately had a lot of ideas on what to make. :) However time flies by with to small children and then hubby decided to work a little more so the time Ive had for my hobby has decreased these last two weeks. Our neighbor Isabelle turned 18 this weekend and so I wanted to make a card to go with our gift. Ive used a digistamp from one of my fav illustrators, Krista Smith of Saturated Canary for my card and luckily the theme sporty goes really great with Isabelle. This cool and very sweet Canary girl is called Yoga girl. Since its a digi I had the opportunity to practice my Copic skills again. Unfortunately this card is somewhat thrown togheter, from A to Z this card took about 45 min. That´s the quickest card Ive ever made. I had one very upset little babygirl beside me and one almost as upset five year old also sitting beside me during the process. Such a night mare I tell you but in the end I think it turned out okay...Hopefully you couldnt have guessed that from looking at it! ;)

Please jump over to the DOC blog to see some of the AMAZING projects made by my dt buddies :)
We hope to see you join in :)

MDUC: Song inspired (picture heavy)

Hi friends and followers!

YAY! Im back! My word, Ive been missing in action lately havent I? I have had loads of other stuff to think about trying to get things back on track with my lovely girls. Signe has had a bit of a struggle lately. She will be six years in may next year and as I educated my self to be a teacher we read a lot about kids and behavior through diffrent stages of their development and ages. Typical for a six year old is amongst other things to act a bit pre teen. ;) Slamming doors, being mad and having break downs for what we as parents consider the slightest things. And yes! I can tell you she has been acting out for a while. She is the most beautiful girly - inside out! But things and stages like this can really put any parent to the test. ;) Besides being almost six she just became a big sister and I believe that has been very trying for her as well since she has been all alone in getting everybodys attention before. Now she has to adjust to her new roll in our family. Poor thing! As the tip of the iceberg she has lost her first two teeth so shes got a lot going on. Im hoping things will go back to "normal" again soon so I will have the energy to craft in the evenings.

Enough about that and on to the theme of the new challenge at Magnolia Down Under! We want to see you make something keeping a song in mind! I have had so much fun creating this pop up card! One of my lovely teamies and cutest friends, Camilla Stöen Bakke , has made this awesome tutorial that I followed since this was my first one. It was so easy so if you feel like trying one yourself I deeply recommend this one. And hey, look at the utterly gorgeous creation she made- now thats inspiration!
I have been wanting to buy this cute angel Tildas from the Little Christmas collection ever since they made their way into the stores but I firstly bought them during the Magnolia Event in Borås a couple of weeks ago. I couldnt wait to color them and I had this project planned long before the stamps moved in with me and so I needed a song about angels. I googled to see what I could find and as I truly need to get a move on with my chrissy cards I immediately decided on the beautiful "Hark the Harold angels sing". And!! When I was at the Maggie store I noticed one of the 6*6 papers released in the christmas story collection is the notes and text to this very song! It was like destiny right? ;) I need some more of the papers though cause I kind of love them and nearly ran out! Booooohhhhoooooo! *sob, sob*

This Tilda was released in the fairytale collection a couple of years ago but I thought she suited just perfectly for the front of my card. She is so cute! Now I want to show you more pictures of the front:
I have followed the new gorgeous sketch over at CLP challenges, it looks like this for the month of october:

GOD JUL is swedish and means Merry christmas.

And for the inside I printed the first verse of the song and placed it in the background. The two cute to the boot Tildas are whats popping in this card ;) I have colored all Tildas with my di´s on 300 g watercoloring paper. Thanks to another gorgeous friend of mine in blogland, Melly, I now am a proud owner of my first The Langton ultra smooth watercoloring paper. Thank you so much for helping me out sweetie! I truly apprechiate it! I added loads of beautiful WOC flowers and a lot of Magnolia dies.

The card is pretty decked out ;)

Now, if you made it all the way here Im so grateful. Inspite all of my rambling and pictures ;)
Before you head off I hope I might have inspired someone to join us, we would love to see you there!
Oh, and please! Do not miss out on the utterly LOVELY creations by my teamies here

Magnolia Event 2012

So this weekend me and my lovely friends Annette and Hanna went to Borås to attend the amazing Magnolia Event. This year it was the first time it lasted a whole weekend but sadly me and my friends only visited on saturday. Since I didnt feel like bringing little Ella (I was attending a WS and standing in line probably isnt a fav thing to do for 2 and a half month olds ;)) I chose to go one day only. Ella will be over a year next Magnoloa day so Ill definately stay for two whole days then if they will offer WS:s then as well! But I´ll start at the top and lead you through :) Since Ive been to the store so many times (dont take me the wrong way - I love it ;)) I have only taken pics of me and my friends. If you want to see some stunning pics of the actual store I recommend a visit with my lovely friend Debbie Dolphin.

Here we are waiting in line, dying to go inside :) Annette, me and Hanna :)
We wanted to try and get our hands on one of those goodie bags. To do that you have to be amongst the first 50 inside. We were numbers 23, 24 and 25 so we got them!

Now let me tell you a little more about the WS I chose to attend! One of the ladies in the Magnolia DT and also my teamie in MDUC, lovely Debbie Dolphin was one of the DT´s Magnolia invited to teach WS:s. I really wanted to meet her and spend some quality craft time togheter. I was so exited to be able to meet her in person. We were already such good friends and we have had so much fun already but to meet IRL just confirmed all the good sides I know she has. She is an amazing friend and she is just as beautiful on the outside as the inside. Thank you Debbie, I loved it! In her WS she taught us how to color in sepia (which Ive wanted to do for so long ;)) and here´s what we made:

So what do you think?

And here´s a picture of me and Debbie:

Magnolia also invited other talanted DT members and Im so happy to have met them as well.
This is a real cutiepie, Mr Alberto Gava. He is also a gorgeous friend to me and Im so honored to say that we also have met now and we shared the most cozy hug ;) Here he is at his table teatching his WS which was Stamping the illusion of movement. Id love to have been able to attend that one too but time just didnt allow it. :(

I have two large regrets from my visit. I didnt ask anyone to take a photo of me with Alby OR Magnolia DT member Christine Dark! Why? My brain must have left for a vacation somewhere in the middle of my visit. At least I got to meet them and they were both really awesome. Chris taught yet another WS Id love to have been able to do and that was coloring backgrounds. I mean, seriously: she totally is the queen of that!

In the picture below another beloved friend of mine, since she is swedish too Im lucky enough to have met her before. She showed us how she color her beautiful skintones with di´s. Her name is Lillemor and my heart skipped a beat to fianlly see her again. She is so cute! And she watercolors in the most gorge way!

I dont know if you remember I told you a little while back our amazing little MDUC family is growing. One of our newest additions is lovely Camilla H and she also showed us how she colores using her di´s. I mean, the cards look beautiful in our blogs but I wish you could have seen them IRL because they are even more gorgeous. I have also met Camilla a couple of times before and I was so happy to give her a hug again!

Here we are togheter! :) My MDUC teamie and I :) Both Camilla and Lillemor are such amazing ladys too and they inspire me all the time, both regarding crafts and with their lovely personalities. I hope we will meet again soon!

As you can see I have had the most amazing time! However I usually meet some of my stunning norweigan friends while Im there too. I just wanted to mention I missed you, Camilla SJanne and Audhild
Thank you so much everybody! I hope to see you all again someday!

MDUC: Use your fav colors (3-4)

Hi friends and followers!

WHOOT WHOOOOOOOOT!
Time for me to let you all in on the theme we are having over at Magnolia Down Under challenges this week and Im extra happy and exited because we want to see you all create something Magnolia using your own favorite color combination! Easy peacy ha? ;)

My favorite color combination is pink (no surprise there ha? ;)), brown, white and a splash of yellow! A little while ago one of my former students Maja celebrated her birthday and she told her mother all she really wished for was to receive one of my cards...auw, who can revisit right? ;) I don't think Ive ever felt so good about my crafting :)
I decided to go with an ordinary 6*6 card and make it a bit special using two Tildas. One of them is a princess with the crown on the loose and that´s my Maja. A girl with something royal about her but still a bit of a tomboy ;) The other Tilda comes carrying a little b day surprise.
The papers are my fav at the moment, they are from Prima and part of a 6*6 paper pad "Tea Thyme", aren´t they simply gorge? So vintage and lush! The stamped images is colored with di´s on 300 g watercolor paper.

So so you guys want to know where I´ve been at today? The Magnolia store in Borås! I have had such an amazing time meeting so many gorgeous friends AND Ive attended a WS with my teamie Debbie Dolphin. I promise to tell you all about it tomorrow and post some pictures!

With this card Id like to join in with the hugely talented dt girls at The sketchy challenges. The sketch this week is divine, loved working with it, here´s what it looks like:

It´s made by dt member Cordine

Here´s some close ups, hopefully you can see better ;)

Thank you so much for looking today!

Xmas is coming - Miss Candy Canes

Hi there friends and followers!

Welcome to my place, today Im showcasing a card I made just for the fun of it, and I had serious fun!

This luscious lady is called Candy Canes and is from Saturated Canary. Isn't she just beautiful! For the very first time I chose to color hair in a slightly different color. In the past I have just worked with blonde, brown and black but I definitely felt this little lassie needed a spicy red/pink look. It suits her don't you think? ;)
She is colored with my di´s on 300 g watercoloring paper. I LOVE it that the Saturated girls now are released in rubber as well. I also decided to try something a little different on her dress around the bows where Ive gone for some highlights with a white opac pencil. Didn't work out quit to my satisfaction though so I will have to practice some more ;) The shape is made with a die from Go Kreate. Papers are Pion design (the red/white checkered one) and the others are My Minds Eye "Lost and found Christmas". Sentiment is from Magnolia from a couple of years ago.

Of course I want to join in with the extremely talented dt over at the Saturated Canary challenges. They are looking for something as cool as Office supplies on the entries this week :) I added a clip from Tim Holtz.

I cannot believe it! Only two more sleeps (actually about one and a half cause we live so early in the morning ;)) til me and my buddy Annette attends the Magnolia Event in Borås! YAY! Serious countdown going on!

Thank you all so much for checking in today!

Tilda comes carrying thanks!

Hi there my lovely friends and followers!

My mission to send my stunning friends thank you cards as a token of our appreciation for the amazing cards and gifts we were sent from all over the world continues with the card Im showcasing today.

I love the Tilda Ive chosen for this card, I think she's beautiful! As almost all Tildas I own ;) She is inked with Copics. The heart pierced with a love speer is also from Magnolia. So is the cloud die, lace and the lovely lilies. The corner adornment is actually grungeboard from Tim Holtz that Ive painted with di crackle paint Picket fence. The sentiment is one of my personal favs and is from Lily go the Valley. Papers are a mix from Maja Design and Kaiser Kraft. All other flowers are WOC.

With this card I´d like to join in with the amazingly talented and always hugely inspiring dt over at Midweek Magnolias were they are offering us to join in their distressed theme. (I find it a bit ironic that Im joining with a card Ive colored with Copics and not di´s like I almost do all the time but I have used the technique on various other places on there ;))
At Just Magnolia and hÄnglar stÄnglar challenge blog they wish to see us use pearls and die cuts or punches. Lovely theme so had to join of course!
The stunning dt over at Tildas Town came up with an awesome theme this fortnight! They invite us to join their CAS or Fussy and Fancy challenge. Well, take a guess which one I think my card is? Yes, fussy and fancy ;)

Here´s some close ups:

Im so incredibly happy you decided to check in with me although its been a while since I had the time to visit you. Life is pretty hectic at the moment. Ellas baptism was planned for this saturday and because of that we have had house guests, my MIL and BIL. They traveled back home today so Im hoping to hop along a little later.

Big hugs xXx
